Am getting lots of comments from bods re the passes. Can we be clear that the vehicle passes are people passes?

Put your name on the pass and swap them for a wrist band in the marquee on the way into the venue

Tomorrow looks ok, but for Sunday there is a met office warning of thunder and heavy rain likely to cause flooding....The middle of a field will not be the place to be!!!!

We went, we saw, we ate. Lots of kites to dry out, mine kept dry somehow . Nice to see Brighton and Essex kite flyers. Len.

The fish and chips was particularly good, and most appropriate given the conditions. The dragon had its first outing and looked pretty good.

Pity I missed the dragon...
As I was leaving there was still a queue for the fish and chips, mostly stall holders, but they are the ones who should know!!! I shall take some home tomorrow if they last out..... If anyone is coming back tomorrow, many of the stall holders have said that they will be packing up at about 3.00pm so any special purchases should be made early in the day.

Kites were flown most of the day in gusty winds and rain, but not many public braved the mud and weather so all the trade stands, food stalls and amusements were virtually empty all day. Had the sun shone there was a fairly good turnout of kite fliers that could have put on a spectacle but it wasn't to be! Much like the Ardingly Autumn Show there is lots to do and see on site, but NOT in this rain and gusty wind! It has never really stopped raining all day and now at 7pm the wind speed is picking up so 'rocking and rolling' as I write, just going outside to put my anchor down as I'm getting a little sea sick in here!
