I think we have reached the stage where we need to return to the odd virtual fly-in as a back up through the Winter... So any ideas about where we might want to meet etc..?

re: Virtual Fly- in I'm off back to the Caribbean (in my mind if not in body!) That nice spot near safehaven where the Turtle farm released the turtles was ideal. I will move a few trees to give us a bit more usable room and clear the shrubby bushes. Oh yes I will lay down some good turf as I think the broken Ironshore would probably result in a few turned ankles otherwise. I have ordered a nice warm day not to hot, with a moderate cooling onshore breeze. We will have to try and avoid the green iguanas, there are just to many to move away completely, anyway they seem to run away if approached so will not be to much of a problem. See you all there Mike

None at the moment but I will ensure a good supply of portaloos for Sunday.
It will be nice and warm as the average temperature year round is 80 degrees F.
We will have to be gone before the sun sets as the light disappears very quickly, no dusk as we are used to here, and there is no street lighting by the site.
The only downside I can see is we will be restricted to height as we will be very close to Owen Roberts International Airport. However as this is a virtual fly in and anything is possible I will just arrange for the airport to be shut down for the day.

If I am going all that way just for a sunday Flyin, I will expect more than just a Bar-B-Q, or did you mean a "Barbie" or 3!. perhaps Kaddy is free?.

She's not free, but I'm told very reasonably priced ;-)

I will organise Breezes & Margaritaville (two local bars and eateries) to provide full bar service along with a election of goodies from their local Caribbean menu - I can highly recommend the Turtle stew & Jerk Pork! Breezes Pina Colada is to die for and the Mudside (2 oz Rum, 2 oz Kahlua, 2 oz Irish cream, 2 Scoops Vanilla ice-cream, 1 oz Chocolate syrup) & Cayman Lemonade (1 oz.vodka, 1 oz. triple sec, 1 oz. peach schnapps, Cranberry juice, Club soda or seltzer Lemonade) Oh yes I almost forgot. I have laid on a number of limousines to get us to and from the site so there will be no problem with drinking and driving. Mike

With the weather outside steadily getting worse our virtual fly-in is looking more and more inviting..... Am debating whether to take my ladybirds or the crabs....What do people think?

Would ladybirds look out of place on a caribbean island? They have land crabs there so I think the crabs will probably be best. Do we all agree? Mike

I'd vote for Gerty's crabs (if that is allowed)
