Just a reminder and to bring this event to the forefront.
Kent Kite Flyers are attending, which for members who have not been before, is at the National Fruit collection, Brogdale Fruit Farm, Brogdale Road, Faversham, just off the main A2 through Faversham be aware of speed cameras on this section of A2 as they are operating almost all the time.
At this event we are invited to attend with the Teddy Bear Parachuting(TBP) equipment, and are allowed to fly kites on a separate field. This time we are also providing a children's kite making workshop.
The set up will be the same as for the cherry festival, in that entrance will be through the first gap along the road on the right, by the buildings, after the main car park. Then going to the top of the field through gap and immediately left by the hedge and through gap into the next field, and parking by the hedge and gap in this field, where we will be allowed to fly kites. The TBP along with the kite making workshop will be set up in the field in front which has a wooden shelter.
All members who are wish to park on the field must be in place by 09.30,or will have to use the main car park.
Members will be allowed in F.O.C. either wearing club clothing or on production of membership card stating that they are are part of Kent Kite Flyers who are providing the TBP and kite making and you have come along to assist.
I know a number of members have put their names forward to assist, with sufficient members assisting then every-one has the opportunity to sample the cider...........(festival)attractions.

Anyone who would prefer to use the railway and therefore partaKe of more than a taste of cider should note that there is a free shuttle bus service from Faversham Station for the whole festival

Can't see a post from us. We are planning on attending on both days. We were thinking of camping but have now decided against, even with the temptation of endless cider

Now bringing this to the top of events page as the event is geting close. It is alo the venue for the Sunday fly-in. Depending on the direction of the wind, there may be some children flying the kites made in the workshop in the top field, due to insufficent room near to the workshop

Well on Saturday we parachuted lots of Teddies and the like, not giving the Team much of a break. The children were well behaved and polite and we even had Mums and Dads giving chase to dropping Fauna. Went home exhausted, hope you have a good day on Sunday.

Different day to-day very little wind, the TBP team tried 5/6 kites but only managed to parachute 4 teddies, very frustrating and Bill broke a spar on the large delta.
My thanks for all members who came along and supported the event over the two days, without members supporting events, we would have little or no income which allows the club to exist in its present form.
