Is anyone bringing extra Kiteability kites? We don't own one and would like to take part in the mass fly Mike Bill is probably the best bet. Not quite sure how you can have a mass fly when only one attendee owns the kites

Ron's friend Don is coming along to run his tombola and raising money for the hospice where Ron was cared for and for Slide Away.
If you have items you are able to donate they would be very much appreciated.

Just had an email from Malcolm. The ground is very wet so if anyone prefers to park in the car park he has passes so you don't need to pay the parking charge. He will be on site at about 9.30

Quite correct Len. Great day with the usual Teston disturbed wind. But at least there was wind. All in all a great day out! Another great BBQ from Bill, thanks for doing the cooking etc. and many thanks to all who assisted with food preparation and clearing up. Hoping the weather men have got it wrong and looking forward to another day at the bridge! Mike

Well what a day! Thanks Atlantic Depression (formerly known as Hurricane) Bertha! Arrived in light rain that stopped, started, stopped, restarted etc. Then Malcolm said that it was sunny in Ashford and Len was on his way. Lo and behold Len arrives just in time for the deluge. When the heavy stuff stopped we ventured out of our cars in almost gale force winds flying the smallest kite in our collections. Kevin shows us all how to fly a chinese goldfish inflatable which withstood the gusts very well. Gradually the clouds built up behind us all and a short sharp shower duly followed clearing the field of the few people who had ventured out. Once that was gone, taking the thunder and lightening with it, the wind dropped to a more managable level and it turned into a lovely afternoon Many thanks to all who made such a good event happen, all who turned up to support the event and everyone who helped Jai break down hre shop and load her van. So another Teston over, looking forward to the next one already! Cant wait. Mike

Thanks to all members who came along and supported the event, special thanks to all who assisted the excellent chef "Bill" with the b.b.q.,all those who helped Jai from Hi-z-akite with the taking down of her stall, ( how that lady does it on her own at the other shows she does remains a feat of physical and mental strength). Gerty supporting Slideaway volunteers in the kite making workshop, although not many made on Saturday and any others who helped out in any way, without whom Teston just would not be feasible. Just to add if any-one knows of a business who may wish to support the Teston event for a few hundred pounds then let me know.

As all those attended Dom and Dot Cox ran a tombola and raffle stall to raise funds. They managed on Saturday to raise a total of £200 which they are donating 50/50 to the Isabel Hospice who look after Ron and to Slideaway our chosen charity.
