May be the seaside to get us in the mood for Berck?

Southborough and Tunbridge Wells are West Kent, the Medway Towns and Dartford/Gravesend are North Kent.

Medway towns are nothing to do with Kent!
I'll go with the seaside location. Camber?

No comment re Medway towns......Don't want to upset our members from that neck of the woods....
Camber sounds good, especially as it will train us to walk on soft sand....but anywhere within sight of the sea suits me....

You will not get me to go to Camber, sand in yer kit, car park charge.
Hythe or Radnor Park or Walmer all have Loos and free parking close by.
I will not be out to fly Kites on 20th as I am Model Boating.

Anywhere from Whitstable to Folkestone seems to fit the general remit although very few support flying on sand! Personally I'm not bothered about that as Berck and Houlegate will more than fill that requirement for me. How about Deal? Loo's for those with a weak bladder, food for those who need regular re-fuelling, coast for those with the need smell the ozone and see the sea. Wouldn't want to suggest Palm Bay as too many will say too far/no loo/no food (although wrong on all counts)!

Distance is relative to where you are and would say Margate to palm bay is not to far but coming from Blackheath it is about the furthest you can travel across the county before you get wet!!!

Folkstone is 5 miles less, Deal is 5 miles more but hey whose going to split hairs? Its less than Camber and it fits the criteria that was being suggested. Anyone got any suggestions?

OK, I will stick my head up above the Parapets, Radnor Park has all our needs and is fairly easy to get to via Main Roads or M Ways, Hythe is close by also.

I quite like Deal and it would be handy to get the gear ready for me to take to Berck. However, am happy with what the crowd wants. Peter, as has been said before, it's nothing to do with weak bladders....just normal human need when travelling longer distances too and fro

There seems to be a variation of flying venues, if the weather is a good as forecasted for Sunday, Walmer seafront could be busy and not a lot of parking It would seem Radnor Park has a lot of parking around it, so I would suggest Radnor, any other comments tonight, as I would like to e-mail members later tonight with notification by 11pm
