So three of us turned up to play in light breezes. Some of us spent several hours giving knitting lessons, able assisted by my glamorous assistant Len.
The site is quite nice, with good breeze right down to the ground. I think we generated more interest in the first half hour we were there than we ever have at Canterbury and Brogdale combined.

Hope the interest shown turns some of the people into wishing to join KKF

A very pleasant afternoon, though only three of us flying and a very light wind.
Gareth managed to fly his large delta and Len his Flo-tail and Roller. Gareth then attempted to fly his Peanuts Edo but the lines tangled much to his frustration but as said above was ably assisted by Len and was finally successful before the wind died and it was time to go home. My large roller flew well and at times the line was singing but anything heavier would have stopped it flying.
There was quite a lot of interest from the dog walking and children's cycling fraternity and I am sure that with a few more kites in the air we would have attracted quite a crowd.
I am pleased that I have introduced this new site to the club and it seems to have gained the seal of approval from both our president and Len which must mean that it is reasonably acceptable. It is clean, level, well maintained and easily accessible. Plus it is well visited by the public although perhaps not the most picturesque we use but pleasant enough.
Janet, I've been having problems with my access to my e-mails hence why I was late today as a kind fellow sorted it out for me. I took my card and cheque book with me afterwards in the hope of catching up with you today having seen your messages about the badger kite. On top of this my charger to my phone stopped working so I had to buy a new one and had also just picked up your message today!!!!! If peeps have trouble getting hold of me p.m's on this site are probably the best way!!! But thank you Janet for sorting things out re the kite, much appreciated.
