The following from Joe Brown
Hi Guys, The Dunstable Kite festival is happening again on the 26th and 27th of July this year. If you would be interested in a camping spot at the event could you please email me joe@projectzip.co.uk Now there is a slight caveat to the camping spot is that we would just like an hour of your time or more if you would like to give it either by helping out with the setup of the festival or by donating some time to the kite making workshop. The volunteers at the national trust do a fine job but we would like to help engage the public a bit more by having a kite flier on hand to help and advise. I look forward to hearing from you.
Joe

Joe Looks very unlikely I will make it to Dunstable this year. Most annoying.

I had to take it out of my calendar for this year, which is a real shame as it is one I really enjoy attending.

Although it is one of our favourite sites we unfortunately cannot make it this year either.

Sorry, I forgot it is Friday...
Went West, then up the M40, then across via Wendover.....
Was very slow on the M25 but never at a standstill, then very quick through lovely countryside along the Chilterns....
12 miles further, but soooooo worth it...
Was asked if we had a pink rabbit by the receptionist at the hotel!!!!

But a pink bunny may put in an appearance on Sunday if I am feeling up to the drive.

Another great event even with the rain!
Packed out with the public and much improved with a larger arena and and a changed layout of stalls etc. with increased numbers of portaloos.
We were made to feel very welcome as usual with a pass for the arena.
The laid back approach to flying displays really works at this event with no strict (actually non existent) programme and as a result the teams putting in extra displays for our enjoyment.
Unfortunately I have been persuaded to buy another kite from Paul Morgan after flying it for him in the arena!!!! It is a painting in the sky!
Looking forward to tomorrow......
