Sorry Len, Walmer not available as it is Carnival week and the whole site is covered by the fair.
Tour de France final day in Paris with englishmen possibly taking first and second places and a third one winning the sprint, watching it live seems very appealing despite the good weather at last forecast for tomorrow.

Radnor is a good suggestion, do not know if there are any boot fairs planned for to-morrow perhaps if Steve P pops in he can answer

Steve P has not popped in so far to confirm whether or not there are any boot fairs on Radnor Park to-morrow. On the provisional list I had from Shepway Council it indicated Santus Circus being there, but having checked the circus website it is in Ashford.
I will stick my neck out and suggest Radnor Park for a meet to-morrow at this late notice
I will e-mail out to members but not sure who and how many will turn up

Good morning,
It seems that Radnor Park, Folkestone should be ok with nothing else happening there.

Again quality not quantity. I arrived at 11.45. Barbara and Mike a little later. The wind was little to none at times, Rollers were the best, at times catching a thermal with gulls circling around them. Talking about Gulls, Mike found a friend in one who was persistent in getting his attention. Some twerps were letting off Rockets behind us. ( NOT fireworks ). I left around 17.15, home to a Roast.

As Len said not to many of us there today. Great afternoon in the sun with some fine flying when the breeze permitted. Whoever paid the hit man to get rid of Len has wasted their money, the rocket that was headed straight for him gave up and dived into the ground so he survived. (seriously, one of the two solid fuel rockets being launched behind us failed to take off properly and was headed horizontally straight for Len before turning through 90 degrees and crashing into the ground, the other one disappeared behind some trees into someones garden never to be seen again. Dangerous occupation, kite flying!) Just to show how important we are, just after Len left for his roast we were saluted by the Red Arrows as they flew over the town making smoke before disappearing into the distance. Obviously arranged especially for Barbara & myself. Mike

Sorry to miss you today at radnor, spent the day on the beach, then went into hastings and watched a superb display by the Red Arrows, from the west hill, they were at eye level in front of us, luckily they had lovely blue sky to fly in, great day topped off by Bradley wiinning the Tour, Chris Froome 2nd and Mark winning the final sprint finish for the 4th time Steve and Sue
