Well time is moving on so best we start a new thread. Having had my evil way (and a good fly-in) last week I suggest we go south and fly at Radnor Park, Folkestone. The 'Seaweed Squeezers' are currently predicting a nice DRY weekend.

Peter and Jackie, are the only names for Radnor Park so far. unfortunately I cannot make it either on Sunday. This year is turning out to be a disaster for me in getting out to fly. I know some members will comment about tangled lines and kites being brought down, so it is safer if I am not around (ha ha!!)
I will post Radnor as Venue to all members on Friday evening.

We are at Tonbridge School the day before so probably will not get to Radnor.

No comment Malcolm re the tangled lines!!! Actually I quite miss all the banter which follows such encounters...so the sooner you get to fly with us the better!! Am not sure myself re Sunday, but if the weather is good I may well turn up to support our East Kent bods (Folkestone is not South to the rest of us)...... Am looking forward to the Tonbridge event tomorrow...

Hi Gerty sorry to say this but Folkestone is further south than both Tonbridge and Tonbridge Wells! The only 'Towns' further south than Folkestone are Hythe, Tenterden, Hawkhurst, New Romney & Lydd!

Ok.....clever cloggs.... But when travelling around the County, Folkestone is almost as far as Thanet for those of us in the West.......

Somehow doubt I'll make it to Folkestone, but will try. My hayfever has well and truly come to a head after this afternoon!!!

Well 'Billy Nomates' spent 3 hours in the sun and near perfect winds flying a selection of sites. On one occasion he was joined by 8 members of the public who's ages ranged from about 3 to 30. Finally he gave up at 3 and went for a walk along the leas. Anyone turning up for Rough Common on the 20th? If the answers no I'll stick to my local - perfect flying site at Palm Bay and save myself a fortune in petrol and traveling time.

Peter,
Sorry you were flying alone at Radnor Park, seems to have been one of those week-ends where some members went in support of the Tonbridge School event on the Saturday , and members were otherwise engaged on the Sunday.
In your usual way you engaged with members of the public, which is great for the promotion of kite flying.
