As we were staying in the New Forest this last weekend we decided to give Weymouth a try. What a lovely little festival, Organised by Close Encounters taking place on the beach sponsored by a local hotel & the Weymouth & Portland Borough Council. All the usual names were there (Airheads, Air-4-ce, The Decorators, Close Encounters, Chris Goff & Piero Serra, Force 9 kites etc etc.) and with a bright sunny day on Sunday with steady onshore breeze a great display was put on for the locals & tourists. George Webster was his usual ebulliant self on commentry. Not a festival we would drive from home to but we were in the area and had a great day. Bumped into Colin & Margaret Croucher who send their regards to all. After the festival finished we went back to the car (£1.50 all day park & ride) and drove to a lovely little green space on the cliffs at Overcombe where we fley for a couple of hours before making the hour long journey back to our tent.
