Following the seemingly successful fly-in at Tonbridge last week, unless anyone has any other suggestions, we are back on the normal circuit which means that this Sunday should be Walmer. Fly-in on Sunday 24th April Walmer. Depending on the weather we will be flying on the beach to the rear of 'The Borrowpit' car park Kingsdown Rd, Walmer. what3words tilts.coolest.breakfast will get you close. My app is currently forecasting 10 - 11 degrees light shower around noon but generally dry, wind NE 15 - 27 mph. There is time for this to change so local update would be appreciated. Also keep an eye on traffic, at the moment apart for the contraflow on the M20 between Maidstone and Ashford all roads are ok however problems at Dover can appear with little notice. Hope to see you for a pre Berck fly-in. Mike

Request noted. I'll check the bamboo and the birdbath on Sunday. I'm hoping to join you, later afternoon, as I'm busy around lunchtime.
Billy arrived this morning with no M20 problems. Let's hope it's as free-contraflowing on Sunday.

Good morning from sunny Deal. Currently sunny, dry, quite windy and pleasant temperature in the garden.
My friends at the Met Office reliably inform me that it will remain sunny all day, around 11 or 12 C, feeling a little cooler, especially on a beach, with a NNE wind of 21 - 29 mph (5, gusting 6 on Beaufort), with very little (less than 5%) chance of rain.
My acquaintances at the BBC agree for a change, but think it may be a little warmer at Walmer.
My bamboo wind gauge indicates that it is probably already 20mph in the garden, while the birdbath rain gauge shows there is no rain currently, and such is the lack of recent precipitation, it needs refilling !
See you all later !
P.S. Thank you, AGM attendees, for thinking of me. I want to try out my new kite - but it says between 2-4 Beaufort on the label, so it may be a bit too windy today.

Hi Janet I hope you were not too disappointed when you turned up and found we weren't there all my fault!!
