So lockdown has eased, and we are now able to meet in small socially distanced groups. To coincide with this, the weather has turned decidedly iffy. My weather app shows showers predicted for Maidstone almost every day for the next couple of weeks. The only day when there aren't any showers predicted, it looks like 20mph winds.
Anyone brave enough to step out this weekend, or is Mike's job as virtual host safe for now?

I shall continue to step out as I have been all along within the permissions of current regulations.

I shall continue to step out as I have been all along within the permissions of current regulations. Me too! Winds have been quite challenging all through this period. Either so low to make flying lightweights interesting or high enough to restrict only the use of Peter Powells or similar. Glad I didn't decide to fly this evening, the Slopes have just been buzzed by a low-flying Chinook - I reckon he was easily just below 200ft!

Barbara is busy sewing scrub caps for the William Harvey Hospital this weekend. Listening to the wind howling round my house as I type this I will be staying in keeping warm despite the fact that I have two pieces of sewn fabric desparate to become kites. As Sunday is forecast to be more of the same I will be flying virtually this weekend. As we slowly and carefully emerge from the lockdown and the ever present threat from the virus that has been dominating our lives we all have to understand that everyone has events in their lives that affect what they do, what they prioritise and how quickly they react to the changing situation. I feel that a little respect towards peoples reactions or lack thereof would be welcome. Mike
