Sitting in a comfy chair with a proper cupof tea absolutely kn?*#%rd. Thanks to all who looked after us over the past 5 days. Many thanks to Gerty who gave us the opportunity to attend a great festival and see members of the comittee in a completely new light! Stories abound, look out for details in the next Windjammer unless of course the correct remuneration is received.................... I will try and post some photos on Facebook in the next few days and will post a link here. Gerty, you didnt miss much by not coming on Sunday apart from the opportunity to get a sandblasted finish on the beach! I can confirm that vase of Rose is definately the correct description. Glad to hear that you are home safe and that you seemed to have enjoyed the event.
To say that I am totally envious, even of the sand blasting, would be an understatement.
Am saving now for next year as I don't think I would be able to hold on to my sanity without my yearly dose of the Berck sands. I'm climbing the walls right now!!!!

I seem to have consumed a vast quantity of wine and calvados over the last few days, and really can't remember much. Suffice to say Scratch Bunnies retained their title of World Champions with a set of very polished and professional displays. Professional in every aspect, including how they set up for their performance, their warm up, and cleared up afterwards, including in gale force winds on Sunday. Red Bull Kite Force were in second place. Had a very interesting chat with one of their members on Saturday night. they find practice difficult as they live 400km apart!. Third place went to Start l'Air I believe. Both these teams are from France. There was then quite a gap to 4th placed team. For those interested. Flame (UK) were 7th and Air Heads (UK) were 10th.
Cristoph is very proud of his KKF hat, a small price to pay for ringside seats on Saturday night.

World Champions The Scratch Bunnies, not the best video available but shows the opening groundwork sequence quite nicely. The music is Noisia's "Machine Gun" taken from the Transformers movie (as Bill will inform you the music genre is Dubstep!). www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ_jumvHPNkThe full ballet is better shown here but you cannot see the ground work or hear the music very well www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFoXJ4I3PKs (3rd ballet - Thursday) Mike

Plenty of blue sky, but a vicious wind most of the time kept us well wrapped up

Thanks Mike...Lots of new stuff there... The photo of Gareth and Janet laughing with Barry sitting in the middle looking somewhat perplexed would make a good "caption" picture for Windjammer, unless peeps want to make their suggestions here? ?
