With most of our flying sites wet and muddy we seem to be on an east/west pebble beach routine so I would like to propose the suggestion made last Sunday that we fly at Walmer beach. Sorry if this us too early for some of you but I have to put these things up when they come to me or I forget (who are you anyway and why are we here!) The coordinates for the free car park we use and fly from nearby are:
///Tint.gear.winners (What3words - for Len) 51°12'16"N 1°24'09"E (gps - for Steve) CT14 7LH (for Marting - enjoy your tour of the east coast) Opposite 20 Kingsdown Road, Walmer - for everyone else)

We will fly on the shingle beach at the top of the slope.

Oh the weather outside is frightful Walmer beach would be delightful...
The forecast shows it should settle down and turn chilly, so hope to be there.
Martin, can you check your messages and get back to me please.

What a Dealightful afternoon at Walmer, albeit somewhat chilly. Good turnout with a variety of kites in the air. Gareth, Peter and myself were joined by Len, Marting, Janet and Steve P! There was a little more wind that it first appeared, enough to give some of us a little surprise, hope the finger is ok Martin. Next week as everywhere is still very damp, back to The Lade. Look forward to seeing you all there Mike

Thanks everyone for another interesting afternoon,a large delta and very gusty wind made for a challenging flight and the realisation that better gloves would have helped prevent the nice line burn I got! However it didn't stop me spending the remaining daylight flying and admiring the other kites that were in the air.see you all next time!!

That means a proper metal stake. Part of a shopping trolly will not do! OH yes it Will!! I'm sorry but we need to be responsible and put forward accurate and valid advice when messaging on a public page. Box section or any hollow form (which is what shopping trolleys are made from) are definitely NOT strong enough to hold kites. They collapse far too easily under pressure. A solid stake is far stronger and should always be the only solution if a stake is being used!
