Let's keep it simple - the post code for the Borrow Pit is CT14 7LH.

Well all the directions managed to see 5 Members arrive to fly Kites, shame the wind couldn't make it. Gareth was there when I arrived flying a Roller with some modicum of difficulty, then Peter arrived followed by Mike and Barry, we made Camp by the elevated Manhole on the Beach and chatted mostly, about the good old days with the occasional burst of Kite flying that soon ended on the ground.

It was good to see that you made it Len in spite of what3words! Maybe next week we'll have to find somewhere easier for those who still got lost like Simon, Steve (P) and Steve (I) although Steve (P) probably has a good excuse as the locations of the continents have moved since his satnav was made! Gareth flew....well lofted....all the new kites in his bag so hopefully the winds will return for next weekend. So as not to let any of our membership down I will post a simple comment "Where are we going to fly next weekend" (that's just for you Janet 😆). Answers in a new thread to be called 'Sunday 12th January' 😉 One suggestion would be: ///slab.growl.scratches also known as 50°56'55"N 0°57'59"E also know as TN28 8NP

As Len said, we did manage to fly some kites, just. And as Peter pointed out, it was a bit of a struggle, and all my fault. But this is one of the kites that just about got off the ground. Cody by Gareth Williams, on Flickr And there are a couple more photographs Here
