I attended a meeting at Walmer Parish Council last night for all of about 15 minutes. The date set for Kites on The Beach is now Saturday 27th June.
The Council are using the Kites on the Beach to be the backdrop to a children's festival with other happenings, no full details as yet. It does appear the new chair of the events committee has their own agenda, but no matter we are at Walmer again.
I have mentioned about vehicles moving without marshalls last year during the event times whilst there are public wandering about.
Please note that next year we have been requested not to arrive before 10a.m and to commence flying from 11am. I have stated we shall fly until 5pm ss that will be the time requested from CAA for height clearnce.
The children's festival will be 12noon-4pm.
There is also a local church fete on the Green by the Cafe which is from 10am-2pm.
We shall be parking next to the entrance we have used in the past, and the same area of the beach for our use.
I will arrange a meeting in the early 2020 to discuss further with The Clerk to the Parish Council, who seems to be the one every year to take on the organisation of each event at Walmer.
