Starting this thread so we all get plenty of notice; Barbara suggested a couple of weeks ago that she would like this Sunday fly to be Woodchurch. Any fors/against?

Thank you Sue. The thread name started with the word "Sunday" so it went further down the list, I started this one to raise it to the top. I knew that Woodchurch had been suggested and that's why I made that point here!

Due to Frinton on sea being cancelled to the 20th october and sunday looking pretty poor, a few of us have decided to try and fly at Woodchurch tomorrow on saturday as weather looks sunny 16c to 18c but with fresh winds 14-20mph. If any body wants to come along please feel free we plan to arrive just after 12 noon Best Regards Simon

Well, in view of the forecast for the 29th a couple of us decided to go to Woodchurch on the 28th in the name of Kent Kite Flyers. The wind was a bit on the blustery side and it took a lot of work to keep our kites in the sky but it stayed dry and we were welcomed by various members of the public. We had to stop for a while as they now use the green for football matches at weekends and it felt unsafe overflying them while they played. We were able to say hi to Trevor who came along to see what kites were all about having seen our proboards page. We spent a great afternoon flying and chatting and finally retired to the 6 Bells for liquid refreshment followed by a meal.
