This event has been listed in the "What's on " part of the Thanet Gazette of to-day so would presumen it is also in the local papers for Deal, Dover and Folkestone areas. It states that the pros from Kent Kite Flyers will be displaying their kites. Also in Whats on section Kentish Express Ashford edition

A very big thank you toe all the members who came along and supported this event, the flying of the your kites was appreciated by the public and by Tamasin the lead at Betteshanger for this event. Especially thanks to everyone who assisted in erecting and taking down the gaxebo, unloading and loading my car with all the kite making workshop materials, kites for sale etc, and those stalwarts Debbie, and Janet Arfman trading kites to the p8blic and encourging the flying of kites.
As most of you are aware the future of Betteshanger Country Park has hung in the balance for some time due to the financial difficulties of the owners Hadlow College. Tamasin informed me today that the sale of the park is going ahead and should be finalised in trhe next two weeks. It does seem that the new owners are intending to pursue the original intention of the Betteshanger Country Park to finalise the Mining museum cafe etc which is the long half finished shed by the car park. Tamssin has indicated to me that she woule like KKF to come back again next year and hopes to still be in post after the sale has been completed. She has another large event in October and we have provisionally agreed to meet late October beginning of November for a debrief and setting a date for next year, which personally I would like it to be the week after Teston as it was this year.
Once again my sincere thanks to all members who supported to-day, as some travel some diatance to be there.

There have been a few photographs posted on our facebaook page, but if any-one who came along yesterday has a number of stills , could they send me a link, as Tamasin at Betteshanger would like to add to their web and facebok pages.
Thanks
Malcolm
