Hi All,
A bit about me. I used to fly pretty much every day back in the 90s. Went all around the country visiting various kite festivals. I was also one of the inaugural members of SEKS, the Canterbury based kite club.
Since the kids came along kite flying has taken a big back seat, but the other evening, in light winds I decided to get my Prism Macro Ion out and have a fly and I blooming loved it.
Still, due to the kids and various family commitments I'm not looking to get back into this "full time" but it would be great to fly more than I do.
My kite bag consists of the following:
TOTL Vented North Shore Radical (built by the Robertshaws, of Airkraft fame). Prism Macro Ion Flexifoil Stranger Flexifoil Pro 10 Team Spirit (my first sport kite) Club Spectre A little rare air kite, don't know the name a 6' Rok A couple of single line deltas and I'm sure there are some more in the garage.
Cheers Adrian
I'm hoping to get to a local fly in soon and will keep an eye out on the events page.

Good to hear from you Adrian. We try to fly most weekends. Where is 'local' for you? Keep an eye on the next fly in page as we post on there where we will be most sundays. Today is Tonbridge.
Look forward to meeting you (possibly again).
Gareth.

Adrian,
Very amiss of me, but I cannot remember you. It could be that I was joining SEKS as you began to fly less. Hope to see you sometime somewhere soon.
Perhaps you may consider joining KKF as a member, and encourage your family to join in as well, as we are friendly and welcoming to all wnatever age they may be.
Best wishes
Malcolm Secretary

Hi Malcolm, I was at SEKS when it was started by Alan (I think) and his son who ran the kite shop in the trailer shop in Canterbury. Did it begin as Canterbury Kite Flyers?? I was flying around 1992 to 1996.

I was flying around 1992 to 1996. I joined I think around 1999/2000 so joined after you were flying. It certainly was started by Alan, and a few locals who flew kites and would meet up. We have been discussing the start of SEKS and the conclusion was around 1993/1994, so we have commenorated this year by having special polo shirts made for members celebrating 25years of SEKS/KKF along with line markers (flags)
