Just an update on where we shall be flying, it will be at the far end of the field as they will be using the area in front of the pavilion for the tea tent, barbecue, and an area for entertainment.
The access is as follows with a contact number for Leesa who is one of the organisers.
The area we've assigned will be right on the Green, with access for you to park your vehicles next to the Green, giving you direct access to your equipment. It will be the road that runs along side the Green, effectively connecting Front Road to Lower Road. Ill be there early doors setting up with a number of the committee and volunteers, so if you want to, you can either call me (07443463843) or ask anyone to point you in the right direction. I will keep an eye out for you anyway. Alternatively, we will be closing the Memorial Hall car park off, so that only vendors and external businesses can park there. You are more than welcome to park there, but it will be a little away from the area for kite flying.
I really look forward to meeting you on Saturday, and seeing some of the kites on display. Its set to be a fun day.
Leesa
Malcolm Ford <fordcoastguard@talk21.com> To:fowsa@woodchurch.kent.sch.uk 4 Jul at 20:48 Thanks Leesa for the update, I hoping to be with you by 10.30, but one of my colleagues may with you slightly earlier. The forecast is a light wind, so may restrict which kites we are able to fly. Look forward to adding to your event. Malcolm

My thanks to all members who came along and supported the village fete and our part in it. A very good turnout and more than I had expected we would be able to muster. It was a just a shame the wind was not sufficient to fly even light wind kites, except for Simon H's eagle which once up above the trees flew for the longest time of any of the kites.
The area designated for KKF was not large enough and then as we were parked next to a road, and just on the Green, other cars began filling up alongside us, just visiting until these had completed filled the line and so we were unable to even try to flew in a slightly larger area of the Green.
Never mind it was mainly a good few hours, socialising, seeing Jacqui M out again, but obviously struggling with using her wheelchair and flying.
Thanks again to all members who came along and supported the KKF appearance at the Village Fete.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to fly at the village Fete. It was good to see you all. I am humbled at your kind words Malcolm, but also embarrassed by my inadequacies . You are a super group.
