OK so toy ready to go; where are we playing this weekend.....maybe the Lade? It's predicting on shore at 20-22 kph and sunshine but 5°c.

If it is onshore there is a good chance the place will be packed with kitesurfers. I'm up for playing just a case of where.

In the absence of any other suggestions. I'm happy to try the Lade

Happy to fly anywhere this Sunday. However being swamped by wind surfers isn't my idea of fun. It was suggested that we should fly in a more western location but if there is no one from the west of the county interested in flying we might just as well fly anywhere. I would be happy to return where we flew last week or even further East if it suits those who are going to come out to play. Mike

I'm always happy to welcome the club onto the island but don't like to hog the situation. At the moment we seem to have four suggestions: 1 The Lade (limited chargeable parking and possible windsurfers). 2 St. Mildreds bay (free parking but only a few members of the public). 3 Palm Bay (free parking and maybe a few more members of the public). 4 Walmer beach (free limited parking and a good number of the public). I'm happy with any of them unless another suggestion comes up.

Well if the weather forecast would make up its mind!!!! One day its easterly then its northerly now its WNW which would make Walmer ok.

It doesn't have a mind Steve......it's a forecast! 🤣 Currently my app is showing predictions of 15 - 20 kph wind with a direction ranging from SW at 9, W at 12 and NW at 3. Temperatures expected to be 7°c. You want to use the WINDFINDER app Steve, it has a better prediction 😎 One advantage of Walmer could be, with advance notice, maybe the club Treasurer would bring us down some cake instead of the fishermen and we could all bundle round her place for a warm up afterwards 😇

Quick couple of questions about Walmer. How far is the beach from the parking? Is the edge of the beach nearest the carpark suitable for flying as I will be unable to get onto the actual beach unaided. Thanks J

The car park, which is free, is in a dip and to get to the beach from it you go up a steepish rough incline. You could fly on the edge of the beach (shingle) but need an off shore wind as there are pedestrian and cyclist paths immediately behind you. Sorry if this sounds a bit negative J.

Thanks Janet. It doesn't sound like an easy place to fly. Sadly, I wont be flying with you all anymore as I have been under pressure to leave the KKF. Hugs and love always. xxx

Hugs and love always. xxx Just need to place a reply to Jacqui's comments. There has been no pressure from the officers of Kent Kite Flyers. There is an official complaints procedure for Jacqui to use if she feels that she is being pressured/harrassed to leave from any member, which I will send to her in reply to an e-mail she has sent to me.

I have tendered my resignation from the committee and suggested that my K.K.F. membership should be suspended until a review has been carried out into various accusations. To that end, as a non member of the KKF I shall be flying at Walmer beach on Sunday. Should any members of KKF wish to join me I will be most happy to fly with them. There has been no formal complaint so far about any member, so cannot act on innuendos. To this end as you have seen from my previous comments elsewhere on the forum, a copy of the harrassment and bullying policy has been sent, with the suggestion that a formal complaint is made. Therefore at this time I have advised, the committee, that we cannot suspended any member, until such time as a formal complaint is amde with evidence so it can be investigated. Peter thank you for offering publicly to be suspended as a member and standing down from the committee, but at this time as I have stated previously nothing has changed until such time as a formal complaint is received. Therefore you are still a member of KKF and on the committee.

In the Background I have been it contact with the Sellindge Sports and Social Club and the new People are happy for us to Fly there if the Field is not in use.
SO, this Sunday we have an invitation to Fly there as no Football Matches are on.
I know its late but it would be nice to have somewhere to get a warm and a hot Cuppa and Lunch if you order it.
Len.
