I have just received a phone call from Brogdale in regard to the above event, they are asking if we can come in next week on 21st rather than this week, due to the orchard only budding at the moment due to the bad weather, which has delayed the blossom. I know some of you who were coming along will now be in Berck. So I am just making an urgent request to find out who may be able to come along on Saturday 21st. The 14th at the moment has not been cancelled, so need to ascertain where we are at by end of to-day (Tuesday) Sorry Malcolm I have a friends wedding on 21st so cant make it

The Hanami has definitely been postponed until 21st April. I will try to obtain a late CAA alteration to the permit already issued for additional height clearance. Will be contacting Brogdale early afternoon to try to finalise matters

Just had confirmation that the Hanami Festival is definitely on for this Saturday. Arrangements as previously stated we have a field to ourselves where our vehicles will be allowed to park. I hope to be on site around 9am, and we shall be directed onto the field. The Hanami Festival opens to the public at 10am and closes at 4pm. Ideally we should be there and start setting up from 09.30am.

My thanks to Tim, Barry and Janet, Len, Bill, Mike and Barbara, for coming along to support this event. A hot day, my car showing temperature at 26.5c as I left at 4.30pm.
Not much wind, but we managed to put kites in the sky from time to time.
A pleasant get together after the winter we have had

I have received am e-mail this morning from Lisa Edwards the event co-ordinator at Brogdale, thanking all those attended, for being able to change their own schedules to be able to come along after the postponment from the original date There were many good comments made to Lisa and her colleagues, about our kites especially those we were able to get flying.
