Malc, Do we need parking passes? Also, where abouts on the site is it. I've followed google maps as far as I can, which is a roundabout where right takes you to the visitor centre. I assume the flying site is straight on? What time do we need to be there?

According to the post on the Betteshanger Park faceache page, there's a "how to fly" session. Are we running that?

I notice that they operate an ANPR parking system with registration numbers taken by cctv that calculates parking charges on leaving the park. I assume that our registration numbers will be removed from their system so we don't get charged. Whereabouts in the park are we flying? difficult to work out from the google satellite images. Mike Len, I'm up for bringing my wind instruments. Would be in keeping with a Wind Festival

Ta Gareth, If you go around the roundabout and take the raod just in front of the visitor centre, the arrangement is you will be metby Betteshanger Staff of me who will walk you up to the site, which is just above the visitor centre. The road goes through the play area and the bike hire shop ( these are temporary buildings until the new centre is finished). I have not been asked to provide any instruction to the public in regard to flying kites, but no doubt in our usual manner we shall assist wherever possible. The public and children's flying area is away from our base. Suggested time of arrival is 10am, but no later than 10.30am.

Malcolm Are you aware that the event is promoted as being from 10.00 - 4.00 on their website? Do we need to be there before 10?

Got the buggy organised now. Notice that the website mentions 'kite boarding' demonstrations. I've never done mountain boards and not sure I'd want to try with my ankle! Still a bit dubious about doing it on the asphalt cycle track as my main buggying skill is getting thrown out! Hope nobody's expecting too much!

Tried to reply to all the points raised yesterday via my mobile, but kept losing the page so now taking the opportunity to do so now from home.
No parking passes needed, please you should be met at the visitor centre. once you approach the visitor centre speed limit 5mph 4 ways on, and I always suggest headlights.
There is no expectation of us being ready from 10am as the previously agreed timings for kite flying are 10am to 5pm. We are only giving advice and assistance when asked as per our normal face to face with the public.
Tim we did not agree kite boarding so it is only kite buggying and it will be up to you how you wish to do it such as three sessions of a couple of runs back and forth or similar.
Arrival time for KKF is around 10am please try to be there by then.
As previously it may be will to bring some ordinary kites as well as medium inflatables. The site is about the same size as the area we use at Walmer Beach.
