Th is is allow members and others to safe the date in their diaries. As far as I know at the moment it will be the same format as in the last few years, with a large part of field being reserved for kite flying. I am aware of the problems last year with the steward(s) and will be part of my discussions as the festival develops. As for previous events I am no longer putting on the forum calendar, due to it being out line in dates when entering through the calendar.

So if the calendar is not working....How can we check what's on at a quick reference?
Is it possible to have a list which can be updated as things occur somewhere on the forum without having to search through posts?

The calendar in the back of The Windjammer is correct for any dates that are known at the time of publishing.

Take a look at the club website. there is a calendar page there with all of the events I have uploaded so far, and also an upcoming events block on the front page.

Thank you for the notifications about non attendance.
As this has been brought up to top, please could those attending let me have their vehicle registration, as my old list went earlier this year when my computer crashed. Also I know some members have changed their vehicle numbers preferably by p.m. so vehicle regs are not view on the open section of the forum. As in the past this will allow kiteflyers to have access to the flying area.
I will post further details nearer the time

I have now sent our vehicle passes to all members who have notified me of their intention of attending.
Any other members who wishes to attend and wishes to park their vehicle on the field with the other kiteflyers will need to let me know preferably by personal message of vehicle reg. number so I may put the reg on my list I will be e-mailing to the event organiser.
The event commences at 11am and finishes at 4pm. Please try to arrive around 10am, but no later than 11am so as to access the festival field. There is a public car park which is free of charge close by
For new members on arrival, please go pass the ski centre entrance, there will be an entrance marked as event entrance and up the track to the very top.

From the Capstone Festival website "Capstone Farm Country Park 11am to 4pm Organised by Medway Council, the festival is a free event offering displays and activities. There will be something for all ages to enjoy, but the event will appeal particularly to children aged 8 to 14. There will be pony rides, line dancing, a dog and duck show, bushcraft – including fire by friction demonstrations, scouting activities, a craft tent, land zorbing, hovercraft rides, climbing wall and country band, as well as kite displays. There will also be a picnic area, so feel free to bring your lunch - refreshment stalls will be available too. Please note that the festival will take place on the events field. Entry and parking are free and vehicle access is by the ski centre entrance." It looks like the hovercraft is back this year! Mike
