Hi All,
My name is Scott Ward and I work for a television production company called Keo Films.
We are currently working on an exciting new BBC4 project which aims to tell the story behind weather forecasting, we are still in the early stages of our pre production so please do forgive me for any generalisations at this point.
I am contacting you in the hope that you may be able to help us with some filming that we wish to carry out. We are hoping to recreate the famous kite experiment that Benjamin Franklin carried out during his investigations into electricity.
In the first instance I am contacting you to see if you may know of any kite flyers within the SE of England that may be able to help us with this mock up of the experiment. At this point I would like to stress that we will not be filming during a thunder storm! It’s more to illustrate the story and theory behind Franklins experiment. We will most likely have our Presenter and a scientist but it would be great to have someone who has kite flying knowledge and experience on hand.
I also have a few questions that I hope you may be able to help me with? I was wondering what are the best spots for flying kites in the South East of England? Maybe a spot where there are good winds and likely to be other kite flyers there. Somewhere that has a nice open skyline or possibly a high vantage point.
Please do feel free to contact me on scott.ward@keofilms.com
Thank you
Warm Regards
Scott Ward
