So if I bid on a new lot on 1 st of February when will that auction end? And if I bid the asking price on a new lot at 17:59 on 31 st January I effectively shut everyone else out? Not sure I like that.

Best thing is for the committee to state how long an Auction will last for and the Len or one of the other moderators adds the closing date to the title of each Auction once it starts.

Now Now lads lets all keep a perspective on the situation. It was agreed at the committee meeting that the initial end date would be 31st January, and now Len has listed the kites where the auction ends on 31st January. It was also agreed that the handed off at the AGM, unless it was to non KKF member and separate arrangements would be made. The kites not shown on the latest message are still available for bidding. Monies raised will go towards the pot held for Teston
In regard to Gareth's point, if any-one wishes to have a kite then they should enter the bidding, any-one could bid on 31st January a few seconds before the end time and outbid on the kites which already have a bid on them, with a few seconds left, giving no-one else a chance to enter a higher bid, I believe this happens a lot on a well known internet auction site.
Just let every-one know that this has taken a lot of Len's time to photograph and list, whilst I appreciate other members input into valuing and producing a pdf copy of the lists, along with Peter Reeves initial collection and sorting of kites. I personally would thank Len for his work on this matter, as it has meant one less job for me to undertake or to find another member to arrange storage and sort.
