Had a nice, if windless day in Frinton. The kite picnickers seemed to be enjoying themselves, though their ranks had been swelled by folks from Suffolk. The picnic was provided by Pete and Lyn (the bread pudding was excellent!) We struggled to fly kites all afternoon, with varied and somewhat limited success. Watching the guy plant what looked like a very expensive multi-rotor into a tree was interesting! When everyone had left, there was just enough breeze to get some swallows airborne. A good afternoon all told, even if I did bring back a little extra (thanks to someone's mut).

A nice day indeed, magnificent flying site on top of the cliffs at Frinton, a lot of room, made very welcome by the East Anglian Flyers, a wonderful warm day. I brought back extra, but not as in Gareth's case care of a local mutt, but due to the wonderful bread pudding made by Lynn, Seem a shame to let go to waste and just had to assist in finishing it off. Oh well back to water only for next few days.
Just a pity there was not enough wind to fly the flow tails for Martin

A big thank you to all the Kent Flyers that attended Martin's Memorial fly on Sunday, it was great to meet you all. As others have said it was a shame that there wasn't much wind, however it did give us time to chat to each other which was great and there were some lovely light wind kites being flown. I've put some pictures of the event and those kites up on the East Anglian Kite Flyers site, you will find them on our gallery here www.eastangliankiteflyers.org.uk/gallery.shtml Best wishes to you all. Jonathan, Thanks for sharing the photos, which are a reminder of the main reason why we all wentas well as meeting old and new friends, to celebrate Martin's life and the deep affection that is still held for him

Great photos Jonathan, I especially like the one of Malcolm knitting a "Grace" (17th photo) and my Luna Moth looks great against such a blue sky. Was a wonderful day just a shame we didn't have a little more wind. Frinton is such a lovely place to fly and we are looking forward to being able to join you all there again Mike

Malcolm and Mike, If Kent Flyers are happy to come along again to Frinton on the first Sunday in October next year we will make it an annual event. It would be a lovely way to remember Martin . Jonathan
