Well I will be there come what may on Saturday. If we get the predicted thunder on Sunday, I may spend the time finishing off the kite I'm working on.

Well we parachuted teddy bears at start of the e4vent and at the end of the day, in between times we used the wooden shelter on the field.
To clarify for any-one who is joining in tomorrow the entrance to where we have been placed is through the main car park to the very end turn left by hedge and carry on to where we have been at previous events ( signal box for the railway at the rear) and then come down the field through gap in hedge. It is muddy so reasonable footwear would be advisable.

Great day flying and bear bunging. An eventful day (we missed the early rain)dry with sunny / cloudy weather / sunny / cloudy skies, variable winds as always at Brogdale but the bears loved it as did the young bear chasers. A few kites were flown and we were treated to the miniature railways version of the runaway train! (no one hurt but was a spectacle!). Then at the end of the day the rain set in and the teddy lifter kite managed to clear the platform of all waiting passengers and staff as it swept down from the sky snagging a truck with its tail and closing the station for a short while, nothing if not eventful! Nobody and nothing harmed thank goodness. An eventful drive home through several new roadside water features but made it back safe and sound, hopefully all who attended got home safely. Mike

Well it certainly ended up wet and as at Mike says hoped every-one made it home safe and sound. I found a new waterway/ estuary on the Thanet Way at Herne Bay and now know my car is waterproof as it went onto the lake and out the other side, including surviving the bow-wave of the new BMW motor cruiser, which past on the lake. Nicely cleaned car for me.
At least a shelter was provided on the field where we could decamp to and keep reasonable dry
My very special thanks to the usual indomitable members who supported the event in the rain and mud.

We enjoyed yesterday, nice weather in between very heavy downpours, but all attended seemed to have a good time, eventful journey home, several places flooded, but once we reached ashford and towards home less standing water. It seems as though Apple festival at Brogdale, attracts the rain , hope for better next year.
