I've used electroluminescent wire for a couple of years now. You'll need to sew it to your kite.

Len, I have a Gomberg delta with 4 3 metre lengths of electroluminescent wire sewn into the sail. You'll be surprised at just how little that wire covers. It is much more effective when flashing than when steady.

Am very pleased with what has arrived.
Seem brighter than what you had a Woodchurch Gareth, but this could be due to seeing at close quarters rather than "in the air".
Packs arrived with velcro fasteners, electric ties, tape and a screw driver for the battery pack, all in a reusable plastic pouch.
I think these have much potential as will be able to shape into a skull or ghost or whatever for halloween etc....
Am now looking into the LED's which have a timer to light up on demand! Bow, your wife could find herself very busy over the next couple of weeks!!!!!
