I'm sure your hard work will be well and truly appreciated! Just imagine the satisfaction of seeing all those Jelly Kites filling the sky? ?? I have volunteered to assist Slide Away bods as they are a bit short this weekend due to the school hoidays, and given the weather, it looks as though the workshop could be very busy indeed!!!! Also, do we have a sign to go over the price on the board as looks horrible with the £1.50 crossed out..If not I'll do a couple, although won't be laminated....

Those signs have been around for about 20 years as I had them made up at the Community Service workshop I used to run in Margate....!!! That was in the days before we had computer based signage available....Oh yes, them days did exist...
I'll do a couple of A4 sheets that we can staple gun to them....

I can promise you Malcolm that sweatshops do exist in this country....
Just look at any voluntary organisation or club and all the effort that is put in and you will find much work being done in the back rooms without pay or thanks.....
So a big thank you to Syd and all the other members of the committee/club for all their efforts!!!!

Thanks so much Syd for all your hard work in preparing the sails for the workshop. Am sure you will have seen many of the kites successfully flying today.
We had very good feedback, especially that the workshop kites were flying better than anything else.
We also had one delighted mum, quoting "That was the best four quid I have ever spent".....
Hopefully the new method of attaching the bridles shown to us today will reduce the workload in the future.
