I have just received an e-mail from Brogdale Fruit Collections Faversham in regard to the Hanami Festival where we fly kites with an Oriental theme.
The event has in the past been a one day, but due to the number of visitors, Brogdale is considering extending the festival to two days. Normally I would accept the daye for one day, but I am puting it out to members to give me thier views on whether I can commit Kent Kite Flyers to a two day event. I know for most of members who attended it is at least an hour drive to get there, but perhaps we can have a core of flyers who are able to attend both days and others who can only commit to one day day.

Unfortunately the dates clash with the last weekend of Berck-sur-mer kite festival and three or four of the regular club kite Flyers will be there so unable to attend at Brogdale.

Barbara and I would be available to be there both days should it be decided that we attend two days. Mike

We also should be able to attend - both days if necessary.

Received news this morning that the above two days event is now cancelled. Not surprising. Just hope we start being more postive about events come Mid May, which does not mean all kite events and festivals will be saved, but it will allow more optimism for the second half of 2020.
