A prior booking will keep us from flying this weekend. Hope the winds are kind to you wherever is chosen.

Have just checked with Edenbridge Council (open spaces) and they have advised that local bylaws forbid the flying of kites, drones and model aircraft on ALL council owned land in West Kent. Their reason is that all their land is for free public access and kites, drones and model aircraft would present an unnecessary risk. The land by the leisure centre is covered by a different authority but they have adopted all local bylaws......sorry Hoppit

Hi I think we should try Edenbridge one week when more members are around. With regards to Edenbridge council and kites i found this on there website and think we will be ok flying kites
Quote: Kites No person shall fly a kite in such manner as to cause danger or give reasonable grounds for annoyance to any other person.
So think we all ok expect if Petes flying his ray (only joking peter)
Looks like Milton Creek this week then, bar toilets but asda is quite close or the bushes lol.

If you wish to fly at Milton Creek withour toilet facilities( Adsa are only open 10-4 on Sundays), then Gareth needs to confirm he is coming along as he has a key to the padlock on the gates.

Thanks all for looking into Edenbridge. Sadly lots of red tape, but will continue to fly there responsibly when I can. May join you at Milton Creek this Sunday, will only know on the day. If the wind is difficult will resort to being there as a spectator, and moral support. Jacqui x

Not a problem, my reputation (unjust) can take you out wherever you set up 😂 Glad to see you living up to your (unjust) reputation! first thing you did on arrival was take Simon out The winds were light to non-existent to start with, but the breeze picked up just after Peter arrived. You can read into that whatever you like! We did manage to get kites into the sky eventually, whilst Simon showed off his new banner. A good afternoon spent in good company. Then I put my Morgan pilot up and SIMON took me out!
