Sorry for delay, but so far not had a reply from Kristian, either to my text of yesterday or my phone call this morning, where I left a voicemail message. Not sure if I will be out on Sunday, will have to wait until then before making a decision Sorry nothing back from Kristian.

About midday which give Simon and Laura time to enjoy breakfast.

Urgent update. Tonbridge high street is closed for the carnival today. Makes access almost impossible. That and the rain mean I'm heading back home. Grrr.

High street open when we drove down it ten minutes ago. Steve and Sue here. Nice and dry, quite breezy.

The Kent Kite Picnickers had a lovely meeting in the sunny periods that graced the racecourse recreation ground at Tonbridge. Ably entertained by a quadline flying display put on by Steve Ide, coffee and tea was drunk, lunch consumed and the world put to rights. The wind? well it went from phew! to cor blimey!!! and back again so kites stayed in cars. Steve & Sue were joined by myself & Barbara along with Bazjan. We all called it a day around 4.00 when Barbara and I took a stroll around the island. We discovered another two fields over the river and a little island that is now a nature reserve that we had no idea were there. Anyway the rain stayed away, the sun shone (in patches) the wind continued to batter the trees but we had a lovely afternoon with good company. Thanks to all who came along your company was greatly appreciated. Mike
