Hi all,
I am organising a fly-in for Sunday from around 11am at either Palm Bay clifftops Palm Bay Avenue Cliftonville Margate or The Sunken Gardens The Esplanade, Westbrook, Margate, just above St. Mildreds Bay, Westgate. I am having to make a decision on whst is happening in Margate on the Sunday,as it could be difficult for people coming through Margate Debbie and I will be providing a buffet lunch, and there will be at least one gazebo to provide some shelter.
This is part of a celebratory weekend for Debbie and I. We decided part of the weekend would be a kite fly, so there may others there, flying club loan kites.
Hope you can join us. I know some of you may have distance to travel, all we can do is plan and hope weather is reasonable.
Will make a decision on the venue by Thursday this week and post.

Further to my original post, I have now changed the location the Sunken Gardens, Royal Esaplande Westbrook, Margate aka the clifftops aove St. Mildreds Bay Westgate.
Unfortunately as of yesterday the neither the grassed area at Palm Bay or by The Sunken Gardens has been cut by Thanet District Council. Apart for a giant boot fair at Palm Bay there is also a motor scooter rally in Margate with bands in the Parade opposite the Margate Harbour.
All the other arrangements are as the original posting, we shall be providing a buffet lunch and some cold drinks/fruit juices, please bring you own chairs and hot drinks. There is a cafe below the clifftops in St. Mildreds Bay as well as toilets. All are welcomed

It's a beautiful morning here in Cliftonville. Looking forward to seeing everyone for a fly-in by the sunken garden later.

What a wonderful day! We made history, Barbara & I were first at a fly-in! Yes we couldn't quite believe it either. Gareth, Peter, Malcolm and Debbie and their family and friends, Steve P, Tim, Sarah, Luke, James & Victoria all joined in to help Malcolm and Debbie celebrate "Because we can". Julian popped by to say hello. We all managed to fly something in not so friendly winds on a lovely afternoon. Loads of people stopped by to look and many photos were taken, we put on a great display! Well done all. Many thanks to Debbie and Malcolm for hosting the day and for the lovely food. I think I can speak for all when I say we all had a jolly good time. Mike
