After sending out a general e-mail to members anout venue for Sunday, I have received the following comments from Bill:-
"24 Apr at 16:43 Hi Malcolm I don’t know if it’s relevant but I was at the Lade over the weekend and the local wind surfing fraternity were occupying all the road n car park area. So there may be a problem if the tide is in or going out. There wasn’t a space to be had. Something to consider for the future? They may have been displaced from the holiday park car park area now the holiday season is in full swing. It needs someone to survey it in the morning Sunday to prevent a possible clash. It may have been a one off but it looked like they were resident. Bill If I get a chance I may be able to check Saturday evening but can’t confirm as I’ll be coming back from seasalter. I’m not at all mobile at moment so can’t make many events unless I can spill out of car onto site."
Obviously last weekend was Easter, so possibly busier than normal.
Changeable winds going from nothing to dragging a couple of anchors across the beach, the occasional heavy shower all contributed to a trying day but it was fun. Simon, Gareth and myself got our Mantarays up along with rotators, Cuttlefish and a Penguin to accompany them. Mike and Barbara put up their power sled along with their inflatable Parrot, Frog and Crocodile and later Gareth demonstrated some trick flying. A good day had by all I think. Great to catch up with good friends.
