A thoroughly miserable day for us. Arrived in rain which persisted throughout the day. Amazed that the mega rays of mr Beattie et al stayed flying all day. They must weigh a ton by now.
Good evening meal where I had a close encounter with a certain military gentleman (ask Janet).

No rain, which is a relief and a good day to dry out the kites. Wind a bit hectic, so battled with my stick kites.
Further down the beach the KKF had a great display of fauchi's flying this morning. I'm sure you will be properly updated and with pics.

Keep up with us on thekkf blog and on Facebook. Last 2 days have been sunny but with a brisk chilly wind and flying has been tricky. My rainbow flowform has been working hard. Today I think we plan to do stick kites.

It was a good festival although a little on the chilly side (there was even frost on the cars on Sunday morning)! The winds were a little unkind but Gareth and I managed to put on a good display for KKF with inflatables on Wednesday and Thursday and stick kites on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we were joined by Martin who was somewhat overwhelmed by his first festival and the fabulous kites on display. Thanks Gareth for your company (and all your driving) and sorry you were unable to join us Gerty. Let's hope that next year we can swell our numbers with the return of Gerty and maybe Simon and Martin joining us.

Sorry we didn't manage to catch up with Chris and Tony. We were told by Wendy on Sunday afternoon that they had been looking for us, but it was pretty impossible to find anyone. We spent a day searching for the rver elusive Andrew.
But feer not, Simon. We have your penguin and you can recover it for payment of a very reasonable shipping charge π
