Well it seems a bit of an impasse so I'm going to fly with Gareth this Sunday. He turns up virtually every week and, like me, travels all over the county as do Mike and Bardara. I don't mind making the effort but I'm still recovering and don't fancy too much of a drive this weekend. Personally I find it a bit demoralising when 'some' people complain that we don't fly in their area yet they dont come over this way (and this comment is NOT aimed at anyone in particular). I hope you all enjoy your day wherever you choose to fly but I will be having a 'personal' fly with Gareth. You are more than welcome to join us if you wish.

I don't mind making the effort but I'm still recovering and dont fancy much of a drive. Also it's a bit demoralising when 'some' people complain that we don't come over their way to fly but they dont make the effort to come over this way (and this comment is NOT aimed at anyone in particular). I was not going to get involved in Kent Kite Flyers forum after yesterday as Debbie and I prepare to go on holiday from Sunday, but the above has caught my attention. There seems not to be a consensous over where to fly, both Palm Bay and Woodchurch being mentioned, so I will leave to members to make a decision( although I would have favoured Woodchurch personally) as it is accessible to all members. Fly-in venues have historically been discussed amongst the flyers out the previous week, with one suggestion being placed on the Fly-in page, allowing for alternative suggestions to be made and discussed during the week, with a decision being made, hopefully, by Friday. It is then up to members to decide if they wish to attend the venue or if it is not suitable for them either by distance, for personal reasons, or for some of us more decreipted members the ground, ie shingle or rough ground. I WOULD REMIND MEMBERS THAT ALL COMMENTS MADE ON THE FORUM ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERSON POSTING AND NOT, OF THE COMMITTEE OR ANY MEMBERS IN THE ROLES OF OFFICERS OR COMMITTEE MEMBERS. Except in regard to the information in regard to events or official business of Kent Kite Flyers. The latter will be posted in the members area.
Remind you also our club is inclusive, and we FLY for FUN; involving kite flyers who are non members as well as the general public who are interested.Hope you make wise, informed and inclusive decisions whilst I am on holiday, Enjoy your kites,

Enjoy your holiday Malcolm and Debbie. As I said earlier, I will not be attending a club fly-in this weekend preferring to fly more locally. This will not be a club fly, it will be a personal fly-in but anyone who cares to join me is welcome. Why this should effect the place chosen by the rest of the membership is beyond me.

Got some outstanding jobs to do. If I get finished I may turn up, but don't be too surprised if I don't get there.

4 Members made the best of a very blustery day at Woodchurch. My Flotail had its bridle cut and was retrieved from the Garages back Garden Shed Roof. Another Member dropped their Line Holder and the small kite got hooked up out of reach and was flying quite content, then kite and winder parted company, kite was lost and the winder fell to Earth. Some photos will be put on our Face Book thingy. We flew kites from 11am to 5pm.

Oh dear, my spelling is as bad as my flying.. lol. Honest mistake but a good word ( and laugh). You may delete, as a bit embarrassing.
