Hope you enjoy New Year's fly at Palm Bay all those members who go along, it would be an unwise move for me to miss the family lunch planned.

Great to get out and fly today. It was a bright start with perfect winds so I arrived at 11 and put the Mantaray up but the wind rapidly increased and spat it out of the sky as fast as I put it up. Gareth arrived a little before 12 so we sat and chatted for a while as he was not prepared to exercise his new toys. Mike and Barbara arrived around 1 and shortly after the wind dropped a little, enough to try the Mantaray again. This time it stayed in the sky so I added my Chinese Dragon. Gareth flew a Rokkaku, Barbara a Flowtail and Mike a Delta variant with a devil face. We flew until around 3.30 when the wind began to climb again so it was time to bring it all down. It was good to get out and fly again with friends. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL KENT KITE FLYER members, looking forward to flying with more of you soon.

The conditions on the ground were definitely not as predicted I the various weather apps. But it was good to get some fresh air, perhaps a bit too fresh at times!
