Robert Valkenburg has posted on facebook the following:
I am forced to quit most of my flying/building days due to having to take care of my wife Heleen and also her mother. Heleens health is deteriorating to the point where she is hardly mobile anymore and her mother suffers from dementia.... Since we are only the three of us, most daily chores fall on me. This is ok, I do it gladly, but it does mean I no longer can visit festivals any more.... SO , this means I am forced to sell of all my kites and Aeolian Instruments, to prevent them from ending up in the trash..... If anyone is interested in taking some stuff of my hands, please contact me , will you ? Best Winds, Robert
So sad to hear. I'm sure you all join with me in wishing Robert and Heleen well for the future.

Very sad indeed..
Robert has been a regular at many UK events as well as those we attend in France.
He was a great support at our Dover festival...

It is sad news, Robert has been through hard times before, and we had all hoped that his future was bright, and we would see him at festivals more. Unfortunately life has a habit of coming up and hitting us all in the face. Please send our good wishes to him for the hard times ahead for him and his wife and mother in law.
Does he wish to advertise the items he wishes to sell on our Proboards forum.
