Well 18th was a blast, nice to see the usual crew. Whose up for a fly-in next Sunday 25th? Current forecast in the Exotic East is light westerlies (11kph), dry after 9am and 11°C.

I am otherwise committed to being in Sandwich for the day.It is that time of year for me when personal/family comittments have to come first, even though I would like to be out and having a fly.

Only 5 responses and two of them can't make it, disappointing. Anyway, I'll be at Palm Bay on Sunday from around 12, hope to see some of you there.

Won't make it today. Feeling a little below par. Must be the excessive celebrating yesterday! Hope you have a good fly those if you who make it.
I won't be out to play next weekend as it is the BKFA AGM and I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon!

Well, Barbara and I arrived to find two flowtails struggling against the ice cold wind and a rather chilly Peter sitting in his car with a hot drink. We parked next to him and conversed through open windows. Putting the world to rights while keeping the cold out with hot soup in our car and whatever Peter had in his flask in his. The two flowtails flew on putting on a show while we stayed in the warm. Finally we decided that I needed a little exercise so we left the car and walked along the grass until the ice cold wind started hurting my chest so we wandered back. Peter meanwhile had taken down the kites and we all decided that it was bloomin cold and home seemed like the best decision. Good to get out and about though. Mike

Mike,
I hope that there were no lasting ill effects from being at Palm Bay on Sunday. A pity I was elsewhere during the day, although I do not know how long I would have lasted if it was as cold as you have written, especially as I have the dreaded lurgie, although the wind may have kill off the bugs.
