If the weather was nice I was hoping to get some fresh air and catch up with you all briefly on Sunday. However Tonbridge is just to far to go in my current state of health so I look forward to hopefully catching up with you all later in the year, assuming health matters keep improving.

Wishing you a quick recovery Mike.
I was hoping to join you all today, but I've had a surprise visit from a good friend today, so sadly wont be flying. Have fun

You should of bought your friend along,it was a great afternoon with light winds and strong sunshine until myself and Heather packed up at around 5-30pm Malcolm joined us as well and we had about 11 different kites in the air over the course of the afternoon.Malcolm managed 5 different kites of his own, surely a record without the pressures of keeping everybody happy and no kite workshops in site he really was able to fly and relax. Thanks for the cake Malcolm. Regards Simon.

Glad you had a good day. Barbara & I drove up to the Wye downs and sat in the car in the sun with all the windows down for a while soaking up the view. Lovely afternoon. Mike

Wye downs is a lovely hilltop site where KKF have flown in the past. However there are no facilities on site and it is fairly rough terrain being part of the Wye downs nature reserve which is a SSSI. Lovely walks there overlooking Ashford and the Stour valley. Mike

Was a great afternoon which would have been very much enjoyed by those who could not make it...Obviously helped by the cupcakes sold to Malcolm which felt like an Apprentice sales pitch at the time!!!
Also flew my eagle identical to Simon's which had been buried in my kite bag and never looked like a light wind kite but flew very well indeed.....Thank you Simon for reintroducing me to this kite which I think was probably a Joel Scholz design...
Colin's green delta bought in the auction also flew very well up amongst the thermals...A brilliant purchase!!!

It was good to be out and flying kites in the sun, although as been stated it was light wind today, although towards the end of the time I was there around mid-afternoon, I managed to fly a Flo-tail, had more kites to fly but the wind was not sufficient for them. It was warm enough to be out in shirt sleeves.Good to meet up with Simon and Gerty.
