Simon The Martin Corrie Memorial Fly takes place on The Greensward, Frinton on Sea, CO13 9AU. East Anglian Kite Flyers tend to fly on the southern part near the golf club. They usually have a Coleman shelter with them so are easy to find. We tend to get there whenever we get there but I believe they gather around 10.00 ish and fly til 5. Its a long way to go but a lovely site on the cliffs overlooking the sea with plenty of free parking, toilets and space to fly. It is one of the flying sites that I want to roll up and take home with me. The Anglian Kite Flyers do provide light refreshments tea & coffee and light snacks usually including fab bread pudding! We still tend to take some food & drink with us just in case. Frinton on Sea is a strange place cut off from the rest of the world by the railway. Beach huts but no cafe, amusements or beach shops and it is only fairly recently that they allowed a pub and fish and chip shop within the town boundary. Hope to see you there, if the weather look ok. Mike

To echo Mike, if the wind is right it is a great place to fly. Similar in many ways to Palm Bay. It is a fair trek, but if the weather is nice it is well worth making the effort and you are assured of a good welcome from the East Anglian Kite Flyers.

Would be nice but it's a long way at 130 miles and (2 hours 30 minutes) its a lot further than East Kent which is too far for many.
