Many kiters around the world are flying on 24th in celebration of the life of Gayle Woodul. Several of us knew her and it would seem appropriate that we should do the same. Jacqui Mountjoy will have difficulty getting anywhere but, I'm sure, would like to join in. Might I suggest that Tonbridge would be appropriate and that myself or any other could collect her and her and wheelchair.

Sounds good to me. Last time we were in Tonbridge parking was a big problem. Lots of cars but very few people, which was puzzling. But lets go for it!

Not sure if I will be over as yet, but under this thread I wanted to let members know that I have sent a sympathy card to Christian Baden Powell on behalf of KKF members

I have found that my Petanque team are playing in the finals for the Hatton Cup this Sunday from 10 until late so I will not be able to make it I'm afraid.

Is anyone else thinking of going to Tonbridge on Sunday? I'd prefer not to be there on my own

As there seems to be little in the way of replies to this fly-in, I thought I try waking members from the slumber in the sun by shouting.

Gerty and I spent the afternoon in Tonbridge flying kites chatting and relaxing in glorious sunshine. The wind was light to variable, but we had a good time, and even got some young ladies trying to fly a kite (they could run around, which neither of us was willing to do) Home Made by Gareth Williams, on Flickr
