I realise it's only Tuesday but has anyone had any thoughts regarding a venue for a fly-in this coming Sunday 20th May?

I'm interested but won't be able to set off until 11.15 earliest so distance is an issue for me.

May I suggest that the members who attend fly-ins come up with suggestions at the fly in for the following week. Thos who go along on Sunday next come up with a suggestion for the following week.

Weather set fair for Bridlington, on Sunday, only about 6 hour drive or thereabouts each way.

Lovely afternoon on a nice little recreation ground. Plenty of room, reasonable breeze, loads of sunshine. Managed to put on a reasonable show for the locals who seemed to enjoy the site. Barbara and I, Steve P and Peter H.
We will not be available next Sunday, I guess those who want to grab their last chance of free parking at the Lade will be there. However you will have to organise it yourselves.

We had hoped to be at Faversham (hadn't been to the rec since 2012 when it was for the Olympic Torch celebrations) but unexpected visitors called so entertained them instead. Due to a prior engagement we will not be out to fly next Sunday - it would have been nice to use The Lade once more before the charges start.

Following on from a great fly in yesterdays I noticed that we have had four new people follow us on Facebook all from Faversham. One asking us to recommend a first kite for her son.

Glad you ahd a good day at Faversham, and did not make the journey to Bridlington, where the day was not quite abandoned, but there was a heavy sea mist, which distrupted the flying for the majority of the day, did not brighten up until aabout three hours after I left mid afternoon as it was very damp as well causing temperature to be around 9.5c.

Steve - as you kindly look after Facebook for the Club and in Malcolm"s absence I think it be might be a nice idea if you replied to the kite enquiry on behalf of KKF. Especially as potential new members are always welcome.
Janet.
