As I need to give a couple of weeks notice to be able to use Capstone, I have made arrangements for Kent Kite Flyers to use the top field, ie where the festival takes place on Sunday 29th April. You will probably have to come in via the Ski Centre (Main entrance) and drive round to get to the road to the to the top car park. If the field has dried out enough by them we will be allowed to drive onto it by the toilet block, or else will have to park in the area beside the toilet block. Arrangements are being made in regard to use of the toilets which will be finalised nearer the time.

Toilets. No Key No Pee No See. We shall have access to the toilet block by the field as I said previously. This will be by key, At the moment I intend to come along and fly, so will collect the key from reception at the Ski Centre reception. |

Just bringing this post to the top of the fly-in venue for this coming Sunday. Unfortunately the weather forecast is back to typical spring weather, rather than the glorious summer weather of the last one. Will try to find out later in the week if we will be allowed to take cars onto the actual field or just to be parked by the toilet block on the edge of the field.

Ok, following on from my last post we shall not be allowed to park cars on the field, but by the toilet block. I will be there around 11am after obtaining the key for the toilets from the ski centre reception.
Please keep an eye on the forum, as this fly-in is subject to a possible late cancellation due to the weather being forecasted for Sunday of heavy rain and gale force winds. There is some difference of opinion as to when the rain and winds will arrive. I will try to make a decision no later than 10am, but this will be based on the weather conditions in Margate and the forecast on my weather apps for Chatham

I thought I just enquiry as to who may wish to come along tomorrow to Capstone for a fly-in especially as the forecast is for the heavy rain to commence around 4pm, and most members have around a 1 hours drive.
