This is an open AGM, so any-one may come along. Voting rights are restricted to those who are fully paid up members of Kent Kite Flyers as at the commencement of the AGM.
It will be held as usual at Brogdale Fruit Collection Brogdale Raod, Faversham, Kent ME13 8XZ.
KKF colleagues should have recieved an e-mail yesterday with details with a provisional agenda
The room will be available from 11am, AGM will commence at 12 noon.
Any items to be placed on the agenda to be notified to Malcolm as secretary.
Please confirm if you are attending and bringing a guest, so as catering can be arranged. light refreshments will be provided.
As usual there will be an auction after the AGM, to raise funds to be split between the club, festival fund( which is to cover additional costs over revenue at Teston and for any future events), and our chosen charity, Slideaway

Just bringing the AGM to the forefront of members minds, I have had some members reply, for those who are unsure, please note that although Kent Kite Flyers is more than a club, it is an association of like minded people who enjoy the pursuit of kite flying. It has to be govern by a constitution and a set of rules, and overseen by a committee of members, with some of the committee taking on extra repsonsibilities as well as the members who are not part of the committee but undertake roles such as Mike P as editor of the Windjammer and Gerty as safeguarding officer. Eventually the real decisions ae made by fully paid up members of KKF at the AGM. As such as many members as possible should take the opportunity of coming along on 4th March to Brogdale Fruit Collections Brogdale Road Faversham. It gives you a chance to air your your views and as importantly vote. It is also a time to socialise with others, refreshments provided and non KKF members are allowed to come along but ineligble to vote. Auction after, for which we ae always looking for items to be donated.
Any-one register to be on the forum but is not a KKF member, is welcome to come along as well, if you so wish, as being an AGM it is not a closed shop as far as the committee is concerned.
Please let me know if you wish to come along and so far have not indicated so, for planning of the refreshments, please let me know if there are any dietary requirements. You can do this by replying to this post or by personal message (p.m.) through the forum.

At the moment the forecast for Sunday 4th March is cloudy and rain, and just cloudy on Saturday. However with the weather forecast for the next three days is snow and could be severe especially on Thursday, I will keep checking the weather not only in Margate, but also Deal and Faversham. If I can not postpone that would be advantagous to me, as well as the food has to be pre-ordered by Wednesday. I do realise that many members who posted their intentions to attend will have to travel some distance not only to arrive but also to return, so will keep options open as long as possible. Please check out this thread for updates especially on Friday this week.

All members should have received an e-mail from me this morning. It has been decided to take action now and POSTPONE the AGM until a future date.
As my e-mail will explain the weather forecast on BBC Breakfast this morning, shows that storm EMMA coming up from the Iberian peninsula has the potential to dump a great deal more snow when it reaches our shores on Friday/Saturday even blizzards in some parts. It has been decided to err on the side of caution and postpone the AGM. I am looking at dates in April beginning of May, knowing it may clash with Berck or Jolly Up at Cliddesden, but have no other option at moment.
