Gerty, parking is on the green stuff alongside the beach. Access is through a gap in the railings opposite Cambridge Road. Kite flyers to the left I believe there will be public parking to the right. Mike

You know where we usually fly by the bandstand - follow the green away from Deal and where the road divides take the left fork - keeping close to the sea. As you head towards Walmer Castle the first road on the right is Cambridge Road and the access for kiters vehicles is exactly opposite. Whether it is wide enough for your transport ..... For those who usually finish up with fish and chips the café on the seafront near the pier is currently closed due to a fire.

Despite the lumpy windand the loss of wo members lifters, which decided to have a swim in the English Channel, along with damage to a couple of inflatables, it was vote a succesful day by Walmer Parish Council, as well as the public.
I would like to thank all the members who came along and supported the event, and aslo to Frank Wright and partner from Essex Kite Group, an excellent show despite the wind.
Especially like to thank all those who assisted with erecting and the taking down of the gazebos, but especially to Janet, Debbie, Barbara and Len, for their sterling work in trading kites and putting together kites sold to the public. All that was left from the stock taken along, was 3 two line kites and some second hand windsocks.
It is only with the support of members attending flying and also setting up, that we are invited to events and requested to return again.
