Constant drizzle. Managed to get a couple of test shots with my new toy then came home.

Picnicked under leaden skies watching the drizzle come and go. Seems to have stopped now so will go for a stroll along the river in the hope that we will get some flying weather soon.

It was brightening when we left Ashford after a very miserable morning. Arrived at Teston just gone 2.00 and sat in the car eating picnic lunch watching the drizzle and wondering if we had made the correct decision. It stopped raining so we had a short walk down to the lock then back along the river to the bridge. Sheltered briefly inder the bridge as another clouds worth arrived. then back to the car. Decided to fly something and things just got better. My brand new creation flew well first time out so I was delighted. Barbara got her quad line Albertros out and had a good play with it in a nice fairly steady breeze and clearing sky. We left close to 6.00 in sunshine! a beautiful evening and yes we had made the correct decision it was well worth the trip flying a new kite trumps making a bag for it any day. Just hope the forecast for next weekend improves Mike

I must have left just before you arrived. Assume this is the bridge you sheltered under P1000010 by Gareth Williams, on Flickr
